The best of no alternative…the CMO’s favourites

25/11/2011 | blur Group, Featured, no alternative | Katherine Sola | No Comments

This is the first Friday for some time that there’s no new video ad from blur Group. Last  week  ‘oneupmanship’ marked the end of our no alternative campaign. Once a week, we’ve explored the marketing crises that plague CMOs and why you have no alternative but to brief the Exchange. It’s been interesting to see which of our videos have been the most popular. Here are the marketing problems you identified with the most:

Suitcase.

Holidays should be relaxing, and you deserve some time off. But you need a campaign a week before you fly and your creatives are lounging on a beach. How to good ideas fast and produce a fully-fledged promotion before you go away?

Squeeze.

Big events bring big publicity and it’s vital to pull them off perfectly. Sometimes, though, an unexpected cut in budget can scupper your grand designs. You don’t want to cancel the event but your previous plans just aren’t workable now. But how can you get quality ideas with your squeezed resources?

Antique:

If you read our blogs you understand the importance of social media and digital marketing. It’s only natural to want to grow into the social media ecosystem with Facebook campaigns and Twitter promos, with a great viral video to boot. But your creatives don’t share your vision. What to do when your team would bring tears to Ed Balls’ eyes?

Damn.

Good ad space affords a great opportunity for you to reach new customers, but we understand it can be hard to come by. Sometimes, your perfect slot comes up at very short notice. But your usual creative agency is busy with other clients. How to acquire fabulous content now?

Broke.

Key projects can go off track for reasons beyond your control. Perhaps your target audience shifted, or your creative team failed to come up with a truly innovative idea. Of course, by the time you realize you need a change of plan you’ve almost exhausted your budget. How to avoid meltdown?

If you’ve experienced the panic, you know. There’s no alternative. Brief the Exchange.
