How do you host an office Christmas party when you have 8,000 staff/Crowdies spread all over the globe?
Well, we’ve come up with the answer - we’re holding our annual knees-up on Twitter this year at #blurParty.
It will take place from 4 – 5pm GMT on Thursday 16th December and the coolest stuff will be broadcast from blur Group’s Twitter page. Email invites have already been sent out to all our crowdies – the name we give to our creative Crowd members. However, anyone is welcome to join the fun by following us on Twitter or partying direct at #blurParty.
Everything for the party is being supplied by the Twitter community. Virtual cocktails will be served on arrival, a virtual DJ will be taking care of the music – there’s even a virtual photocopier for those people who don’t feel they’ve partied unless they’ve been creative with the office equipment.
Our office party is the first to be held on Twitter. The beauty of it is that all of our staff and Crowdies will be able to socialize with each, wherever they are in the world.
Neither will anyone embarrass themselves under the mistletoe or drive home having had too much to drink.
The invitations will give people tips on how to create a festive atmosphere around their desk on the day. And the money blur Group saves by hosting a party this way will be donated to charity via JustGiving so it works out well for everyone.
Oh and look out for our customer Xmas challenge coming in the next few days. Ding-a-ling!
